Why Pe nis size matter to Men

Most men across the globe had at a time or the other worried while some still worry about the fact that their instruments in smaller than they should be and as such, won’t satisfy their lovers. The truth, based on research, however, suggests that most men underestimate the size of their pride in that regards.

Men, whether they choose to agree or otherwise, always place great premium on ‘their’ size, as many cultures associate the ‘man’s size with masculinity. It has come to symbolise qualities of virility, fertility, strength, ability and courage, leaving those who feel smaller with feelings of inadequacy.

That is exactly what triggers the extreme measures some men take or try to engage in, in order to increase ‘their’ size. With the aid of companies around the world, which have exploited this anxiety, selling pills, pe nis boosters, enlargement products and extenders, which promise men to increase the length and girth of their manhood fast now take front shelves. Concern about size or feeling inadequate is a perception issue and if not addressed, fast and well too, it can really damage or totally erode a man’s self confidence, thereby affecting his social life. It can start from the trivialised ,but important issues like being unable to use urinals or shared shower/bathrooms when in hostels as students, to completely avoiding intimate relationships. This is the crux of the matter and, therefore, calls for concern, education and enlightenment.

Measuring your instrument

Most men’s opinion about their pe nis was formed during childhood, because while growing up, they either saw that of an older brother, friend and mentally did a comparison with theirs.
That alongside taunts from other people during adolescence or following remarks from his sexual partner, bred fear and anxiety.

However, men often have a wrong perception of their pe nis, says sexual health expert, Dr David Delving, who said “when you look down at your own organ, it seems shorter than it really is and in contrast, when you glance around at showers, you get sideways view of other guys’ own. So, they usually look or seem longer than yours.’’

To really see your organ as others would, look at yourself undressed in front of a full-length mirror. The organ looks longer and larger than when viewed from above.
To get precise measurement, get a ruler or a tape, and take measurement when you have an erection. Take the measurement from base of the pe nis on the side nearer to the tummy up to the tip where the hole is.
There are no average length figures for a teenager because individuals grow at different rates, but a pe nis doesn’t stop growing until the age of 21. For an adult, an average pe nis size is about 14-16cm (5.5 – 6.3 inches) when erect, and its girth is between 12 – 13 cm (4.7 – 5.1 inches).
An organ would be considered unusually small if it is less than 3 inches (7.6cm) long when erect. And at this point, it is worth noting too that there is large variation in the angle of an erect organ. Some erect pe nises point straight up, others straight down. Some have a slight bend to the left or right. The bottom line is, there is no right shape, so whichever direction yours take gives no cause for alarm, but if you notice a more significant bend in you that causes pain or difficulty during se x, then you have to see doctor.

What women think or want
It is expedient to state that the issue of attractiveness to women is complex. However, researches suggest that pe nis size is much lower down on the list of priorities for women than such issues as man’s personality and grooming.

According to Professor Wylie, “it may come as surprise to some men, but most women have very little interest in ‘their’ size and that has been shown in numerous strides that when it comes to se x, women are much more interested in whether you are romantic, tender, sensitive to their sexual needs rather than in your organ’s size.

Men, therefore, should keep their  calm, be rest assured and work at bringing out the best in their women in bed, rather than focusing on whether or not their size is big to enough satisfy their women.
